We are back on the Rio Dulce!
We are back on the Rio Dulce, Guatemala! Today is Day Eleven of being back on the river and finishing the remodeling of the boat. Unfortunately, we have been away for too long and in addition to the remodel project we have about a dozen fix-it projects to complete before we are underway again. Fortunately, our good buddy, Drew, is due to arrive tomorrow and we will have plenty of help to finish all of the projects and set off sailing to Belize! Our goal is to catch up with the whale sharks who should be paying a visit to the Belize reef the same time as us.
The plan is to be underway by April or May so that we at least get in a month or two of sailing. We have to return to the states on June 2nd to get in some more work hours and bank a few dollars to add to next year's sailing season. We hope to make next year's sailing season at least 6 months long unlike the short 4 months that we have allotted for this year.
We have a new Guatemala cell phone number.... 502-4547-4186... !! Please stay in touch!
Adios,
Cathy

Hi Cathy,
The architecture and scenery in Guatemala are beautiful. I am looking forward to more photos as your journey continues to unfold.
Best, Mary
Hi Cathy & Jake,
I hadn't checked in with your progress in a while, but Mark forwarded your plans for Belize. We were JUST THERE with the kids (now 4 and almost 7) in mid-February! We stayed on Ambergris Caye just outside of San Pedro. SO wonderful. I hope your trip has gotten back underway and it is smooth sailing. You all are living the life - keep ther rest of us inspired vicariously, please! How did it go with the beer? Be well and carpe diem. Cheers ~ Kathy & Clan Russell (Mark, Jordan & Phoebe)
